Reading Culture Ambassador contest 2022

I. PURPOSE

- Reading Culture Ambassador Contest is an activity for students from elementary to high school across the district, in order to arouse a passion for reading among young people, thereby encouraging, promoting reading movement among young generation, forming reading habits and skills for students, an important factor contributing to the development of reading culture in schools and communities; arouse the desire to contribute and develop the country; contribute to building the cultural value system and human standards of Vietnam.

- Through the contest affirming the position, the great role of reading culture in contributing to raising people's intellectual level, developing thinking and creativity, fostering personality and soul, enhancing the sense of acceptance. enforce the law, form a healthy lifestyle for the young generation of Vietnam, and promote the building of a learning society.

II. RULES

1.   Contest topics

Topic 1:

Part 1: Share your feelings about a book that has inspired, directed you to a positive lifestyle, consciously builds a healthy cultural living environment, is socially responsible and arouses aspiration, contribute and develop the country.

Part 2: Create an action plan to develop reading culture for yourself or the community? (State the objectives, beneficiaries, content of work performed, and expected results).

Topic 2:

Part 1: Please compose a literary work (short story, poem, drama) or a painting (drawing) with the message of spreading the love of reading, thereby arousing responsibility to yourself, family, society and arouse national pride and love for the Fatherland.

Part 2: Create an action plan to develop reading culture for yourself or the community? (State the objectives, beneficiaries, content of the work performed, and expected results).

2.   Requirements for submissions

a/ Form

- Each contestant submits his/her own submission (not in groups), the language is in English or Vietnamese, using one of two forms:

+ Writing (typed, handwritten): The length must not exceed 5,000 words.

+ Editing clips (video, audio): Minimum duration 5 minutes, maximum 12 minutes; can use effects, effects and ensure image and sound quality; have a minimum resolution of 640pxX 480px; are saved in popular formats mp4, avi, mpeg, mkv, klv... and suitable for posting on Youtube. (All clips should be emailed to: library@vfis.tdtu.edu.vn)

- For painting works (paintings): shown on paper without lines; there must be an explanation of the idea (the length of the explanation must not exceed 1,000 words); contestants are allowed to use freely colored materials suitable to their paintings and forte; Use paper up to A3 size (29.7 x 42cm).

- The illustrated products attached to the contest entry have the maximum size: 60X120X70cm (width, width, height).

b/ Contents

- Entries must fully answer 02 questions posed in the exam, with healthy and pure content, suitable to Vietnamese fine customs and culture; ensure the accuracy, security of information and other relevant legal regulations.

3. Responsibilities of Contestants

- Contestants must comply with and perform the requirements of the Competition Rules

- Entries are creative works of individual contestants (the contest clips must be performed by the contestants themselves, including the voiceover and narration), and have not been submitted for display, exhibition, or published in publications. products, the internet, or entered a contest.

- Cases of using other people's content, excerpts, sayings, pictures, images, etc., must have full source citations.
